Voice Agent Platform Engineer

Build the architecture, engine, SDKs, and product surfaces for Fish Audio's open realtime voice Agent platform.

About the Role

  • We are building an open realtime voice Agent platform for global developers and enterprise customers.
  • As a core engineer, you will work deeply across platform architecture and engine development, creating the infrastructure that external builders and companies can rely on.
  • This role spans low-latency voice agent systems, standardized interaction protocols, cross-platform SDKs, and product-facing implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the Agent platform from low-level engine work to product-facing business layers, turning capabilities into reliable product surfaces for complex real-world scenarios.
  • Participate in realtime voice Agent platform architecture and engine development, building a general-purpose foundation for low-latency use cases with high availability and scalability.
  • Define standardized interaction protocols and drive the development and maintenance of cross-platform SDKs so teams and customers can integrate efficiently.
  • Track trends in multimodal foundation models and Voice Agent technology, translating frontier capabilities into practical engineering systems that evolve reliably over time.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in at least one mainstream backend language such as Python, TypeScript, or Rust.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js.
  • Understanding of mainstream LLM Agent architectures, including tool calling, context management, workflow orchestration, and related core mechanisms.
  • Agile engineering judgment and comfort with fast iteration cycles.
  • Strong self-direction and learning ability, with the ability to ramp quickly on new technologies.
  • Strong taste and care for interaction experience - you are not satisfied with merely making the system run.
