Founding Account Executive
Build and scale Fish Audio's enterprise GTM motion, selling technical voice AI infrastructure to teams where voice is core to the product.

The Role
- We're hiring a Founding Technical Account Executive to build and scale Fish Audio's enterprise GTM motion.
- You'll sell technical voice AI infrastructure to CTOs, founders, product leaders, audio engineers, ML teams, and infrastructure teams at companies where voice is core to the product.
- Our ideal customers look like HeyGen, Retell, Sierra, VAPI, Decagon, Bland, and other AI platforms building real-time voice agents, video avatars, AI companions, customer automation, and interactive media.
- This is a hybrid role across technical sales, solution scoping, POC execution, customer trust-building, production launch, and expansion. You'll work directly with the CEO and partner closely with Product, Research, Engineering, and Customer Success.
- This is not a role where you inherit a playbook. You will build it.
What You'll Do
- Own the full enterprise sales cycle: outbound, discovery, technical scoping, POC, pricing, close, launch, and expansion.
- Manage a pipeline of mid-market and enterprise accounts where voice AI is mission-critical.
- Build trust with technical buyers by understanding latency, streaming, concurrency, uptime, voice quality, cost, deployment, security, and integration requirements.
- Lead technical evaluations and POCs with clear success criteria, timelines, stakeholders, and production paths.
- Drive customers from evaluation to go-live by removing blockers and coordinating internal resources.
- Triage customer issues across product bugs, integration failures, missing features, unclear requirements, and customer-side misconfigurations.
- Translate customer needs into clear internal documentation: feature requests, bug reports, product gaps, scope changes, and competitive feedback.
- Generate pipeline through targeted outbound, PLG funnel mining, expansion signals, events, and the AI builder community.
- Build the founding GTM playbook: discovery frameworks, POC templates, go-live checklists, competitive battlecards, pricing guidance, and technical champion management.
- Partner with Product, Research, Engineering, and Marketing as the voice of the customer.
What You Bring
- 2+ years in a customer-facing GTM role: Technical AE, AE, SE, Sales Engineer, TAM, or GTM Lead.
- Proven ability to close or materially drive technical deals with $100K+ ACV.
- Experience selling to CTOs, founders, engineers, ML teams, product leaders, or infrastructure teams.
- Strong technical aptitude: you can read API docs, understand architecture, discuss integration tradeoffs, and hold credible conversations with engineers.
- Comfortable discussing APIs, SDKs, latency, streaming, throughput, concurrency, reliability, deployment models, and cost-performance tradeoffs.
- Strong problem-scoping ability: you can turn "it's broken" into a clear issue, likely root cause, and next action.
- Strong commercial judgment: you understand how technical success drives usage, retention, expansion, and revenue.
- Excellent communication across levels - from engineering debugging calls to founder/VP-level business conversations.
- High ownership, autonomy, and ability to build structure in ambiguity.
- Strong written communication for outbound, customer follow-ups, technical summaries, and internal documentation.
Bonus Points
- Experience in voice AI, speech, audio, real-time audio/video, telephony, AI agents, developer tools, gaming, video, or creative tools.
- Experience at a high-growth startup or as a founder/operator.
- Experience with PLG, usage-based pricing, API-first products, or developer-facing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with tools like Clay, n8n, Zapier, HubSpot, or Salesforce.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC, BANT, SPICED, or similar sales methodologies.

Location
- SF Bay Area strongly preferred.
- Remote within the US or Canada may be considered for exceptional candidates.
- Must be able to operate during US business hours.
